Two meet the candidate sessions for Ballina voters coming up

VOTERS in the Ballina electorate will have two chances to meet and question their candidates over the coming days.

The first meet the candidates session will be held by The Sourdough Group at the Macadamia Castle on Monday, March 2, from 5pm.

The second will be hosted by Australians in Retirement and will be held at the Ballina RSL on Friday, March 6, from 10am.

The Sourdough session will be asking candidates, through its MC - Byron Bay real estate agent Chris Hanley - about their approaches to the local economy and seek commitments on improving business sustainablity, removing red tape and stimulating the economy.

The Australians in Retirement session will focus on retirement-related issues.

Members of the public are invited to attend as visitors.

Candidates will be asked to speak about issues relating to the retired or those approaching retirement.
