GRAFTON'S talented trio The McClymonts are up against a male-dominated field at next week's CMC Music Awards.

The all-sister group is up for three awards including Oz Artist of the Year at the annual awards, which will be held in Brisbane next week.

Also nominated for three awards are Adam Brand, Adam Harvey, duo McAlister Kemp and this year's awards host Morgan Evans.

Evans swept last year's awards. The Newcastle singer will defend his Oz Artist of the Year, Male Oz Artist of the Year and Australian Video of the Year titles.

Sunshine Coast talent Jared Porter, who won last year's Star Maker talent quest in Tamworth, is up for New Oz Artist of the Year.

But he'll face some stiff competition from Brooke McClymont's husband Adam Eckersley and his band, who were a crowd favourite at last year's CMC Rocks the Hunter festival.

The fifth annual CMC Music Awards will be held at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre on March 12 and telecast on March 18 on Foxtel's CMC channel.
