Tannum boys brave budgie smugglers to raise funds for cancer
THESE Tannum lads aren't afraid to be the butt of jokes this Mother's Day.
And while donning nothing but tight budgie smugglers for the Mother's Day Classic may seem amusing to some, Reede McHugh assures us the event is nothing short of serious.
"We're raising money for the Breast Cancer Foundation," the 26-year-old said.
"We're hoping to get as much exposure as we can - excuse the pun."
The jokester, with footy mates Noah Marsh, 25, and Ged Melrose, 27, will don pink pants during the 8kmrun.
So far the boys have raised $823 but are hoping their near-nude efforts will pay off with higher dividends.
"There is another local team we're hoping to beat in donations," Reede said.
Although the boys' partners have turned their noses up at the run, Reede says he's taking part for his wife's aunty and Nan.
"They are both well now, but it wasn't the best experience to go through," he said.
