Maroon 5 crash real weddings for 'Sugar' film clip

MAROON 5 surprised a number of brides and grooms in Los Angeles when they crashed real weddings for the film clip for their single, Sugar.

At the start of the video, Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine says: "We're gonna drive across L.A. and hit every wedding we possibly can.

"It's gonna be awesome."

The band then get into a black convertiable and drive around LA.

At each venue, a production crew first goes in and sets up a stage hidden behind a white backdrop, all the while receiving curious and puzzled looks from wedding guests.

The band then sneaks in and it isn't until they are in the middle of their impromptu performance that the sheet drops.

Cue screams of delight from the bride and grooms.

The Rolling Stones reports the film clip, filmed on December 16, 2014, was directed by Wedding Crashers (the movie) director David Dobkin.
