Man's head dipped in boiling water

A NARANGBA man is believed to have had his head dipped in boiling water, causing serious burns.

Emergency services said an ambulance was called to Roberts Road, near Caboolture about 6.45pm last night where paramedics found the 59-year-old man with facial burns.

He was taken by ambulance to the Royal Brisbane Hospital.

Hospital staff notified police, believing the incident was suspicious.

A police spokeswoman said officers would investigate further, however the man had not made an official complaint.
