Manly's Fa'aoso faces 10 week ban for spear tackling Inglis

MANLY enforcer Richie Fa'aoso faces up to 10 weeks on the sidelines after his two spear tackles on Rabbitohs star Greg Inglis in Friday's 20-12 loss at Brookvale Oval.

The separate charges were graded level two and level three by the match review committee yesterday.

Fa'aoso, outed for a week earlier in the season after a successful downgrade on a shoulder charge that left Titans lock Ashley Harrison unconscious, faces eight weeks out with early guilty pleas.

Manly teammates Steve Matai and Brett Stewart were also hit with charges.

Matai faces one week on the sidelines for his grade one careless high tackle on Rabbitohs prop George Burgess, while Stewart can escape suspension after being handed a grade one dangerous contact charge for elbowing Souths winger Andrew Everingham in the face.

Matai's hit sparked an all-in brawl involving South Sydney enforcer Sam Burgess and Manly five-eighth Kieran Foran, but no further charges resulted.

Newcastle prop Kade Snowden can escape punishment with an early guilty plea for a grade two careless high tackle which broke the jaw of Gold Coast utility Luke O'Dwyer.
