Semi-trailer collision on Pacific Highway

A MAN has been been rushed to hospital after his utility vehicle collided with a semi-trailer north of Corindi Beach.

Emergency services were called to the crash on the Pacific Hwy, between Post Office Ln and Hawthorne Cl, at 4.20pm on Thursday.

Traffic was affected in both directions and motorists are advised to expect delays.

While is it unclear what happened, a witness said the semi-trailer appeared to have 'T-boned' the ute on the driver's side.

Grafton duty officer Inspector Jo Reid said the driver of the ute was conscious and breathing when he was taken to Coffs Harbour Hospital via ambulance.

The driver of the semi-trailer did not require medical attention.

It is the second car crash reported in the area today, after a single-vehicle crash near Kangaroo Trail Rd.
