Man rushed to hospital after snake bite

A MAN was rushed to hospital this morning after being bitten by what he thinks is a brown snake.

Paramedics were called to the man's property on Freeman Rd, Tallegalla at about 9.14am.

A QAS spokesperson said the man, aged 58, told paramedics it was a 'brown coloured snake' which bit him.

Eastern Brown snakes are considered the world's second most venomous snake.

Ambulance officers transported the man to Ipswich Hospital in a stable condition.
