A MAN is fighting for his life after falling six storeys from an apartment at Mooloolaba.

Police said the man, aged in his late 20s, fell from the balcony of an apartment on Mooloolaba Esplanade about 8.30pm, suffering life threatening injuries.

The man was rushed by ambulance to Nambour hospital for treatment.

No details were available about the nature of the man's injuries or how he fell from the balcony. However, police said there were no suspicous circumstances and the fall appeared to be an accident.
