Nude dare lands law student in court

A MAN has escaped conviction for displaying a different kind of mystery meat at a Byron Bay kebab shop.

Jack Mascitelli, 18, stripped off and ran naked and screaming through the Byron Bay streets on February 4.

The law and commerce student from Melbourne bared all in a Johnson St kebab shop after being dared by a friend, he told Sydney's Downing Centre Local Court.

He faced an offensive behaviour charge and a $500 fine, as well as receiving some media exposure.

Deputy Chief Magistrate Christopher O'Brien dismissed the fine and did not record a conviction, but warned such an "act of stupidity" could jeopardise Mascitelli's chances of a future career in law.
