Man, 64, charged with downloading, possessing child porn

A MAN will face court today after police raided a Coorabell home and seized alleged child abuse material.

Police say they raided the home yesterday, seizing computers, CD's, DVD's, USB memory sticks and external storage devices.

The raid was launched after police "received information" about the alleged download and possession of child abuse material.

A 64-year-old man was arrested and taken to Byron Bay police station, where he was charged with possessing child abuse material and using a carriage service for child pornography.

He is expected to face Murwillumbah Local Court today.
