Man, 51, accused of punching 12-month-old baby in face

A MAN, 51, has been charged with assault after allegedly punching a 12-month-old boy as they were walking along Old Maryborough Rd at Pialba on Tuesday.

The incident happened about noon.

The boy is believed to have suffered facial bruising and was taken to Hervey Bay Hospital.

The man will face Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on July 18.
