Lone Wolf bikie members to stand trial over crime bust

ALMOST every member of a dismantled Lone Wolf bikie chapter will stand trial next month over their alleged part in Coffs Harbour's most significant organised crime bust.

Alleged club president Neville Luck, Michael Why, Dean Allgood, Wade Hallgath, Nathan Ryan, Jason Shipman, Saia Militoni, Bowen Hedges, Daniel Ylias and William Ballard will all answer charges of participating in a criminal group.

Most face joint drug supply charges.

Alleged sergeant at arms Why is also accused of recruiting others to assist criminal activity.

The case was back before the Coffs Local Court on Tuesday and all 10 were committed to the Sydney District Court on August 9.

Alleged associate Garry Caldwell had the same charge against him dismissed but pleaded guilty to recklessly dealing with proceeds of crime.

He will be sentenced in Coffs Harbour on September 16.

Why, Ryan, and convicted Greenhouse Hotel robber James Fletcher remain in custody over the violent Fathers Day home invasion which left a 41-year-old man with critical head injuries.

Their co-accused, Militoni and Hallgath, are on bail.

Charges stemming from the attack will be back before the Coffs Harbour Local Court on August 13.

Between them, the group arrested during police operation Strike Force Oriental, face almost 100 charges relating to guns, drugs and violence.
