Locals sneak a peek at Elements

ELEMENTS of Byron threw a lavish opening pool party earlier this week to say welcome to the community and give locals a sneak peek at the new resort.

Officially opening to the public on Monday February 1, more than 200 guests were treated to champagne and an oyster bar along with a range of treats from executive chef Justin Dingle-Garciyya and his team, including crab stuffed dough nuts, black garlic, caviar and cured salmon.

There were tours of the resort, a Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony, horses, a helicopter, drummers and fire twirlers, musicians all evening and to end the night, a DJ with dancing aplenty.

"It is our greatest wish to contribute positively to the Byron tourism experience" said Elements of Byron owner Peggy Flannery.

"So this was our chance to kick up our heels with our friends, business partners and local supporters before we open to the public on Monday.

“We were all very moved to receive such positive feedback."
