Library gets $200,000 boost

State Arts Minister Virginia Judge last Friday presented Byron Council with a $200,000 cheque to go towards construction of the planned new Byron Bay Library.

Ms Judge presented the cheque to mayor Cr Jan Barham, with members of the Friends of the Library looking on at the library site on the Sandhills Estate.

There is still no date for a start to work on the long-awaited library.
