LeBron says he can win NBA title for Cavs

GOLDEN State may be just one win away from claiming its second NBA title, and first since 1976, but Cleveland superstar LeBron James certainly hasn't conceded defeat.

After the Warriors won game five 104-91 to take a 3-2 series lead, James was asked whether he thought the Cavs could still win the title.

"I feel confident because I'm the best player in the world," he said.

That statement may be correct, but the problem for Cleveland is James does not have the supporting cast that MVP Steph Curry has at the Warriors.

Aussie battler Matthew Dellavedova has been forced to play a lead role in the absence of injured stars Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love, and after a brilliant game three when he grabbed 20 points and kept Curry quiet, managed just five in game five as Curry exploded with 17 in the fourth quarter on his way to 37.

James finished with a stunning 40 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists, his sixth play-off triple-double, just one behind all-time leader Magic Johnson.

Aussie big man Andrew Bogut warmed the bench in game five.
