FERNY Grove is one of 41 seats in which the final result have been declared by the Electoral Commission Queensland.

The Brisbane electorate is at the centre of a dispute about the eligibility of PUP candidate Mark Taverner which is likely to be decided in the Court of Disputed Returns.

Until then it will count as one of an expected 44 seats to be won by Labor's Mark Furner allowing the ALP the opportunity to form a government with the support of Nicklin MP Peter Wellington.

Of the 41 seats where the ECQ has declared a winner the ALP holds 23, the LNP 16, Katter Australia Party one and Mr Wellington as the sole independent.
