Kyogle superbike racer Justin Hall wins second Aust title
THE wins keep coming for Kyogle rider Justin Hall after he took out the Australian Superbike Championship 300 production division at Phillip Island.
He came fourth at the weekend but still managed to finish first 17 clear of his closest rival on overall points.
Hall, 22, won the Australian title in the 125 class last year and stepped into the 300 production division in 2015.
"This is my biggest achievement so far in road racing," Hall said.
"Phillip Island is my favourite track and I knew I had the pace to do it.
"I wasn't going in too confident though; bike problems or one crash and it could have all been over.
"After the first round I thought I'd be up there but didn't expect to win it.
"I've been racing for a few years now and it all comes naturally."
Hall won all his races in the fourth round at Symmons Plains in Tasmania to set up a commanding lead going into the final round.
He plans to defend his title next year if he can get more sponsors on board.
"Everyone is in the same boat and we all chase financial support," Hall said.
"I enjoy all the places we end up and I've met a lot of new people.
"I'd love to do it again but it's a bit up in the air at the moment.
"It is really expensive and I'll probably need a couple more sponsors to do it again next year."
Hall has all local sponsors with the Lismore Bolt Barn, Shark Motorcycle Leathers, City Bikeworx Lismore and the North Coast Road Racers.
