NO WONDER Kylie Minogue was smiling.
Despite reports to the contrary, ticket sales for the Australian leg of her multi-million dollar show – which kicks off in Brisbane tonight – are going well.
“The tour has sold fine,” a spokeswoman for the promoters said yesterday.
“There are still some tickets available for Kylie’s second show in Brisbane, though,” she said. “But they are sure to sell quickly ...”
The tiny pop princess, whose hits include I Should Be So Lucky, told a media conference this week that she felt a little nervous before the first Australian show on her $25 million Aphrodite: Les Folies tour.
Kylie said her nerves were a sign of how important her shows were to her. “I try to make my nerves work in my favour – to make a good show,” she said, flashing a grin.
Minogue fans will have two chances to catch the pop princess in concert when she plays a second show tomorrow night.
The extravagant production includes a $10 million stage, $750,000 worth of props, a million diamante crystals, 1000 feathers and 200 costumes. It is at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
