SOUTH Korea's Park Geun-hye is facing an impeachment vote this week over claims she has abused her power as President.
The move comes after an estimated 500,000 people spilled on to the streets for the sixth weekend in a row to protest against her.
Ms Park is accused of working with a friend to entice businesses to contribute to foundations set up to help further her policies.
The impeachment motion was backed by 171 legislators - all members of the three opposition parties and independents - but it requires a two-thirds majority of the 300-seat parliament to succeed.
