Stone, 26, last played at Bluesfest seven years ago, and her return has been timed to help celebrate the festival's 25th anniversary, organisers said.
"It's gonna be a mighty, mighty roar that will greet the barefoot Ms Stone on her return next Easter to help with the Bluesfest birthday celebrations," a Bluesfest spokesperson said.
Other artists announced this week were: Joe Camilleri & The Black Sorrows; Terrance Simien & The Zydeco Experience; Dyson, Stringer & Cloher; The Beards; Chain Glenn Cardier and the Sideshow; Nahko & Medicine For The People; Public Opinion Afro Orchestra; Cambodian Space Project and Matthew Curry.
The festival will be held from Thursday, April 17, to Monday, April 21 at Tyagarah.
The line-up for the 25th festival includes Jack Johnson, John Mayer, the John Butler Trio, Dave Matthews Band, Jeff Beck and Elvis Costello and The Imposters.
Organisers say the 2014 festival was attracting more five-day ticket buyers than ever. Earlybird tickets went on sale in June.
