VIDEO: Weight loss mountain scaled, next is Kilimanjaro
JOE Richardson has already conquered one mountain, and now his sights are set on Mt Kilimanjaro.
After dropping 40kg and becoming passionate about his physical fitness, the Toowoomba man has decided to join UNICEF's Kilimanjaro Climb for Kids.
Mr Richardson will be taking on the mountain in July, and is determined to reach a $10,000 fundraising goal.
He said his "light bulb moment" came in January 2012, when he weighed in at nearly 130kg.
"I just thought, holy moley, I've really got to do something," Mr Richardson said.
"I knew I was unhealthy and overweight, so I had to change.
"Mid-last year I got an email from (UNICEF) about this Kilimanjaro climb.
