Jail deaths being treated as murder-suicide
POLICE are treating the deaths of two cell mates at Sydney's Silverwater jail as murder-suicide.
Homicide detectives were called to the maximum security jail on Monday after the bodies of two men, aged 41 and 47 were found during a morning inspection.
A police spokeswoman told the Herald that detectives were pursuing "murder-suicide as a key line of inquiry" but were keeping an open mind.
The men, both foreigners, were on remand for unrelated drug offences.
