Investigations into Lismore woman's disappearance in Ballina

POLICE from Lismore are investigating the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of a woman from Ballina in September this year.

Ellen Wilson, aged 54, was last seen at a licensed premise in Ballina on Friday 11 September 2015.

While Ms Wilsons's disappearance is not being treated as suspicious at this stage, police and family hold grave concerns for her welfare.

Family have told police it's out of character for Ellen Wilson not to make contact, and to miss scheduled appointments.

She has been described as 165cm tall with a medium build and shoulder length greyish-brown hair. She has blue eyes and wears reading glasses

It's believed she may have left the licensed premises in her silver Subaru station wagon with NSW registration plates CB-76-QX.

If anyone has any information that may be able to assist in locating the missing woman, they should contact officers at Lismore Police Station on 6626 0599.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page: https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au/
