Injuries leave Hurricanes in a spin for final

THE Hurricanes will wait until tomorrow to make a call on injured players Ardie Savea, Nehe Milner-Skudder and Cory Jane ahead of Saturday's Super Rugby final against the Highlanders in Wellington.

Jane has played just once in the past month and missed the 29-9 semi-final win against the Brumbies with a hamstring strain.

His experience and reliable defence would be a useful asset in the competition decider but he is believed to be a 50-50 chance at best.

Jane's position against the Brumbies was taken by regular fullback Milner-Skudder, who played 40 minutes before being taken off with a hamstring niggle.

He is also in doubt, while boom flanker Ardie Savea, who limped off in the second half of the semi-final after injuring his knee, had scans to learn the extent of the damage.

The other big concern is whether fly-half Beauden Barrett will be able to kick after injuring his hip.
