Information sought over Dalton murder

POLICE have renewed their appeal for information from the public following the murder of a Lismore man in June.

About 5.30am on Thursday, June 6, Dennis Dalton was found at the front of his Goonellabah home with severe head injuries.

Paramedics were called to the scene and the 29-year-old was taken to Lismore Base Hospital before being airlifted to the Gold Coast Hospital in a critical condition. He died the following day.

Police have established that Mr Dalton was involved in an altercation in nearby Churchward Place earlier the same day.

A number of people have been assisting detectives from Richmond Local Area Command in relation to that incident.

At this stage no charges have been laid and detectives want to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident in Churchward Place to contact them at Richmond Local Area Command or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000
