Hull misses out on top-10 finish
KATHERINE Hull was unable to snare an elusive LPGA top-10 finish at the Navistar Classic.
The Sunrise Beach golfer dropped two places to a tie for 34th at the four-round event at Alabama after carding a final round of even-par 72.
Still, Hull would be relatively pleased with her efforts at the $A1.26 million event, after missing the cut at the previous four LPGA events.
The tournament's defending champion finished on a score of two-under; 15 shots behind runaway victor American Lexi Thompson.
Thompson became the youngest champion in the LPGA's 61-year history; the 16-year-old prodigy firing a two-under par 70 to capture the Navistar Classic by five strokes, aheaf of Tiffany Joe. Caloundra's Sarah-Jane Smith missed the cut.
