How did you fare in the Byron Bay Ocean Swim Classic?

GEORGE O'Brien is celebrating after winning this year's Byron Bay Property Sales Ocean Swim Classic.

The 22-year-old was first past the tape at this year's event, completing the 2.5km swim in 28 minutes and 54 seconds.

Hayden Cotter was second, with Sam Sheppard finishing third.

Hundreds of competitors once again competed in yesterday's race, braving chilly temperatures to enjoy the action.

Swimmers of all ages participated in the race, which features a circuit from Byron's Wategos Beach to Main Beach.

The event's oldest contestant, 83-year-old Clive Condie, finished in a time just over 90 minutes.
