Hot rods bring big business to town

FOR shop owners and local businesses, last Sunday’s Back to Brunswick Hot Rod Show was like Christmas in July.
Massive crowds flocked to the town throughout the day to inspect the 481 vehicles on display.
Rally co-organiser, Peter Paynter from Ocean Shores, said shop owners he had spoken to described it as the “best business” day they have ever had.
“It brought some serious money into town,” he said.
“It was a great day.”
Motoring enthusiasts brought their cars from as far away as Darwin, Melbourne and South Australia for the Back to Brunswick rally.
Mr Paynter said the event would be on again over the same weekend next year.
“I can see it only getting bigger every year,” he said.
