HONDA is dangling the hybrid carrot with sharper pricing on its Civic and Insight variants.

The Civic Hybrid now has leather trim and new new colour options for $33,990 (flat paint) - a reduction of $2000.

The 13YM Civic Hybrid receives satellite navigation with SUNA live traffic updates, DVD player, reversing camera with guidelines, Smart Entry and push-button start, daytime running lights and vanity mirror illumination. It also features leather seats in a grey trim and has two new colour options: White Orchid Pearlescent and Carnelian Red Pearlescent ($575 for metallic and pearlescent paint).

Insight models are down $3000, reduced to $26,990 (flat paint) and the VTi-L to $30,490 (flat paint).

"The price repositioning of these two hybrid models along with technology upgrades to the Civic Hybrid demonstrates our commitment to providing customers with the best value cars that suit their lifestyle," Honda Australia director Stephen Collins said.
