BRISBANE actor Josh Lawson has landed his next movie role.
The 36-year-old, who recently played Paul Hogan in the miniseries Hoges, is filming a romantic comedy in New York alongside Game of Thrones star Nathalie Emmanuel.
Cameras rolled on the film Holly Slept Over in Syracuse on Monday, with the shoot reportedly lasting just 18 days.
"One scene down on #HollySleptOver and @nathalieemmanuel and I are already drafting our Oscar acceptance speeches," Lawson wrote on Instagram.
Emmanuel, who plays Daenerys Targaryen's adviser Missandei in the hit HBO series, plays the lead alongside Ron Livingston, who is known for roles in Office Space and as Jack Berger in Sex and the City.
The film is about the relationship struggles between a newly married couple when an old college roommate stays over for the weekend. It is due for release next year.
