Group offers to take paper out of offices

PENS, printers and even paper cuts can be a thing of the past according to Innovare group CEO Phil Charge.

The international group, new to Warwick, offers a product called the Paper Free Office, a system which allows business owners to go completely, well, paper free.

A quick look around its Warwick office confirms the concept seems possible.

"I'm still the type of person that has to print something out to read it, our product is more about optimising productivity and streamlining programs already available," Mr Charge said.

With the help of an industrial scanner the Innovare puts files online to allow them to be processed in real time.

"Take a trucking company for example, instead of waiting to get back to the office you can send them while on the road to be put in the system," he said.

Innovare based in Canberra, Brisbane, New Zealand and now in Warwick have offered services to companies including Boral, Commonwealth Bank, ASX, Westpac Bank, 87 Federal Government entities and BHP Billiton to name a few.

Now the company plans to bring that to smaller businesses in the district.

In a discussion with local member Lawrence Springborg, Innovare likened the system as a catalyst for longevity in disaster zones.

"In the Christchurch earthquakes companies that were cloud-based were resilient, their office could exist anywhere," group member Michael Higgins said.

"When it comes to security people need to understand it in real terms, what safer? A lock on your cabinet out the back? This way files can always be retrieved," Mr Charge said.
