‘Green’ Gayle to be guest speaker

After the successful launch of the Will of the People Project in Byron Bay, the project’s second Byron Shire symposium will be held in Mullumbimby on Saturday from 11am to 3pm at the Mullumbimby Civic Memorial Hall.
The keynote speaker will be Gayle Russell, a very active community member who works with Byron Shire Council’s Sustainability Committee, North Coast Climate Action Group, and much more.
Gayle is a woman who lives her sustainability convictions in both her social and personal life.
Her home has PV solar panels, a solar hot water system and a composting toilet, while her grounds feature a great edible garden and chook run.
There will be a number of community groups on display and a significantly interactive program.
Gayle Russell’s address at 2 pm will be followed by an open community forum.
