INSTALL Hot Water's grand opening on Saturday at the Byron Arts and Industry Estate was a fun and informative day for all involved.

Lots of Byron Shire locals and visitors from beyond turned out for a chat with the owner of Install Hot Water, Che Jones, and Rinnai representatives.

They talked about solar hot water systems and the new government rebates that are helping Northern Rivers residents save money and the environment.

A filling barbeque feast and sunny weather topped off the day and all those who attended left with a better understanding of solar hot water rebates, as well as five bonus entries to win a Rinnai solar hot water system and free installation, valued at $4500.

The giveaway, being run by The Northern Star and Install Hot Water, is still going, and entries and coupons can be found in this week's Northern Star newspapers.

“It was a fun and informative day and hopefully more locals will be encouraged to find out more about solar hot water systems,” Che Jones said.
