GoT stars Kit Harington, Rose Leslie ‘engaged’

AT LEAST one Game of Thrones love story will have a happy ending.

Kit Harington and Rose Leslie are engaged after five years of dating, People reports.

The New York Post reports that the couple first met on the set of the hit HBO series in 2012 playing on-screen love interests Jon Snow and Ygritte but didn't make their red-carpet debut until 2016 at the Olivier Awards.

"They're yet to set a date, but told friends and family last week that they've got engaged," a source told The Sun. "Kit's known for ages he's wanted to marry Rose but he wanted them to get a house and settle down a bit first. After moving in together in January he felt it was the right time to take the next step."

In 2016, Harington, 30, opened up to Vogue Italia about how shooting in Iceland was his favourite Games of Thrones memory because it's where he fell in love with Leslie, also 30.

"If you're already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it becomes very easy to fall in love," he said.

Nicole Kidman pressed Harington to pop the question during an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

"Are you going to get married?" she asked after Harington said they had moved in together.

"Oh, wow!" said Harington.

"No, I just think it's kind of nice - if you're going to live together, maybe to at least get engaged," Kidman said. "I'm working hard for her here!"

"I've been put on the spot by Nicole Kidman!" said Harington. "I mean, it's step by step, step by step."

Reps for Leslie and Harington did not immediately return requests for comment.
