Bulldogs should be proud of their kicking game

GOAL kicking has been a strong point at the Bulldogs in recent seasons, with Darryl Halligan and Hazem El Masri retiring with some amazing success rates.

Current halfback Trent Hodkinson is no different - he has nailed 37 of 39 attempts this year at 94.4%.

And Halligan, his goal kicking coach, believes Hodkinson can break the record of 35 straight goals, set by El Masri and former Kiwi Henry Paul.

"Where he can get to, who knows?" Halligan said.

"The record's at 35, and surely someone will get 50 one day. Maybe it will be Hodko."

Hodkinson said he doesn't mind goal kicking, while teammate Josh Reynolds has labelled him "Mr Cool".
