A ROCKET launch in the United States has been overshadowed by a "photobombing" frog.
The frog, which is believed to have come from a pond near the rocket launch site took a giant leap for forgkind as the LADEE fired up for its mission to explore the moon.
NASA officials have confirmed the photo is real and hasn't been altered in any way.
"The photo team confirms the frog is real and was captured in a single frame by one of the remote cameras used to photograph the launch. The condition of the frog, however, is uncertain," a NASA spokesperson told the media.
The frog's home was believed to be a pond at the Wallops/Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport which supplies a high pressure sprinkler system to prevent fires and reduce sound wave forces on the craft.
