Game, snip, match for Kuznetsova

TENNIS: Svetlana Kuznetsova proved to be a cut above her opponent - literally - in the WTA Finals in Singapore.

The world No.9 was trailing Agnieszka Radwanska in the third set of their round-robin match when she asked for a pair of scissors and proceeded to cut off her ponytail.

The haircut seemed to work for the Russian, who saved a match point before claiming a 7-5 1-6 7-5 win over the world No.3-ranked Pole.

"Sometimes you gotta do it not by best hairdressers and not at best time," Kuznetsova wrote on Instagram.
