TWO victims of a tragic murder-suicide were finally laid to rest on the Gold Coast this afternoon.

About 200 friends and relatives said goodbye to Tania Simpson, 31, and her five-year-old daughter Kyla Rogers in a funeral service at Mudgeeraba.

Ms Simpson and a family friend Antony Way were found stabbed to death in her Robina unit about 8.30am on May 16.

Kyla was missing from the unit but was found with the body of her father, Paul Rogers, in a car near Casino later that day.

The 50-minute service ended with the two caskets being carried to white hearses waiting at the front doors of the Gold Coast Christian Family church.

Pink balloons were put in the hearses with the caskets.

Antony Way’s funeral was held on Monday.
