Fun gymkhana open to riders of all ages

The annual Northern Horse Performance Show and Fun Gymkhana will be held at the Mullumbimby Showground on Saturday, September 5.

Because the emphasis is on the good relationship between horse and rider rather than great skill, the events are open to people of all ages and levels of ability. And the same goes for the horse.

There’s something for everyone, from the shaggiest pony – yes, that’s an official class – to champion pony/Galloway/hack classes to the ever-popular NHAG Cup trotting race and sweepstake sponsored by Hotel Brunswick.

A highlight of the day will be the costume class. It’s a chance for family and friends to get involved, playing dress-up with their favourite horse and rider.

The gymkhana is organised by the Northern Horse Action Group.

For further information and entry details about the gymkhana, contact Tony on 6684 0504 or Ingrid on 6684 5294.
