‘Free’ ticket to Bluesfest

Bluesfest is offering locals a free ticket to the 21st anniversary event.

But there is a catch – you have purchase two additional Thursday day/night tickets.

Until next Monday, people can front up to the Bluesfest office and receive the free day/night ticket valid for Thursday, April 1.

Bluesfest believes that turning up in person is local commitment enough, so no ID or Byron Bay address is required, but people do need to purchase the tickets in person, not via the phone or the internet.

A Bluesfest spokesperson said that traditionally, the Thursday before the long weekend was a wonderful time to experience everything Bluesfest had to offer.

“So while the vibe on Thursday is a little more spacious and relaxed, you can still catch some amazing headline artists such as Jack Johnson, Jools Holland and His Rhythm and Blues Orchestra, Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club, Dr John and The Lower 911, Ozomatli, GALACTIC featuring Cyril Neville (Neville Brothers) and many more,” he said.

General tickets can also be purchased by phoning the Bluesfest office on 66858310 or visiting the website at
