Fox vision app back for the best Bathurst 1000 experience

FOX Sports is once again bringing all of its tricks together for the best possible Bathurst-watching experience.

The popular FOX Vision App, sponsored by Supercheap Auto, makes a return with new enhancements aimed at bringing Supercars fans the best second screen experience for this year's Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.

Two 180 degree cameras will deliver a live video stream from both inside pit lane and on top of the mountain during every session.

Those who grab the app will be able to experience the great race live never before, and will have access to the track position of the top ten drivers through an interactive 3D replica map of Mount Panorama.

Not only that, but with fully integrated live track data and cockpit telemetry, Supercars fans will be able to follow the drivers' lap times and stay across key information including speed, acceleration, braking and gear selection.

FOX Vision includes 3D Play, a fun racing game that gives fans the chance to drive their very own Supercar on a virtual Bathurst track. This year, drivers will be able to challenge their friends by uploading their best time to social media.

A third section of the app, 'The Vault', houses a selection of videos featuring some of Bathurst's biggest moments, plus users can access 360 degree VR camera footage featuring behind the scenes videos and Hot Laps from the roof of the Supercars.

FOX sports' Head of Innovation, Todd Procter calls it the ultimmate companion app for the biggest race of the season.

"The app will compliment the broadcast by delivering all of the key information and statistics while viewers watch the race on TV," he said.

"The live 180 degree camera will let fans taste the adrenaline of Pit Lane and watch from the top of the mountain. And with features like our 3D interactive map and driver race statistics, the app is the ultimate Bathurst 1000 second screen experience."

FOX sports' presenter, Jessica Yates said: "Bathurst is one of my favourite races on the Supercars calendar."

"It's non-stop action and this year's race will have the extra intensity of a close championship battle between Jamie Whincup and Scott McLaughlin; one mistake and it could be game over for either drivers.

"It really is all on the line in 2017. And between our 24/7 dedicated Bathurst channel and the new FOX Vision App, fans will be able to experience the Great Race like never before."
