FOX Footy was named pay-TV's top channel at last night's ASTRA Awards in Sydney.
The annual awards recognize the best in subscription TV, the "Logies" of pay TV.
Special guest Joe Manganiello, star of the hit supernatural series True Blood, presented the top award at Sydney Theatre.
ASTRA CEO Andrew Maiden said Fox Footy gave viewers a unique offering, showing live HD coverage of every game for the first time.
"Fox Footy was a standout for the judges. It engaged audiences, reflected in ratings wins for 26 consecutive weeks," he said.
"It introduced innovative technology such as 'commentator cam' to provide unique analysis and a 'third eye' goggle camera worn by umpires."
The other big winners of the night were Aussie drama Tangle and The LifeStyle Channel's Selling Houses Australia.
Tangle, which ran for three series on Showcase, won three of the industry-voted awards including Most Outstanding Drama.
Selling Houses presenters Shaynna Blaze and Andrew Winter both took home awards for favourite male and female personalities, and the show was voted Favourite Australian Program by viewers.
Just one year after winning Channel V's nation-wide presenter search, Marty Smiley was named pay-TV's Best New Talent and Nickelodeon's inaugural Slimefest was named Most Outstanding Music Program or Coverage.
Not surprisingly, viewers voted Game of Thrones as the Favourite International Drama Program.
Foxtel's 2012 London Olympics coverage, which included eight live channels and mobile content, was recognized for Most Outstanding Use of Innovation in Programming.
Highlights from the 11th annual awards will air on Monday at 7.30pm on Arena.
