Former Byron Bay High School student Katherine Hicks has another chance of winning a Logie in the ‘Most Popular Actress’ category.

The nomination is for Katherine’s role as ‘Heidi’ in Channel Nine’s show Rescue Special Ops.

Katherine, who grew up in the Northern Rivers and completed her HSC at Byron High has been involved in local theatre productions since she was a child.

She had a role in the popular series ‘Heartbreak High’ as a 16-year-old and last year she was also nominated for a Logie for her role in Rescue Special Ops.

At present she is filming the third series of the show which will go to air later this year.

“Being listed for nomination for the Logies and to get another chance to win is really exciting,” Katherine said.

“But, it’s only early days yet and the process involves viewers voting via TV Week for their favourite actors and then the resulting list is submitted for nomination.

“Finally those accepted for nomination are voted on by a panel of judges.” People can vote for Katherine by joining on Facebook or filling out the voting forms in TV Week or by voting online at www.tvweek.ninemsn.com.au

Voting closes on February 20.
