Fit Franjic puts up his hand for a full game

FOOTBALL: Socceroo Ivan Franjic will continue his timely return from an ankle injury in tonight's A-League clash against Central Coast at Suncorp Stadium - and he wants to play the entire 90 minutes.

Franjic (pictured) played in last round's 1-all draw against Western Sydney and will be a vital part of Mike Mulvey's defensive structure at right back.

"The ankle's good. It's all healed up now and I'm looking forward to the weekend," Franjic said. "I hope so (to play 90 minutes) - that's up to the coach. But I'll put my hand up. That's his decision."

The Mariners also received a boost yesterday, with midfielder Glen Trifiro signing a one-year contract extension.

Melbourne Heart coach John van't Schip said the retiring Harry Kewell would leave a great legacy on his young players at the club, despite struggling with injuries this season. Kewell is set for his last game against the Wanderers at AAMI Park tonight.
