Byron council going after feral dogs, feral cats and foxes

BYRON Shire Council's feral animal program has recommenced and is targeting wild dogs, foxes and feral cats.

Over the past two years, the council has engaged a professional trapper, who has trapped 122 wild dogs, 46 foxes and 16 feral cats.

Byron Shire landholders are encouraged to report sightings of wild dogs so the trapper can reduce their numbers before spring litters.
