This weekend will be a feast for rugby union fans at Byron Bay.

The 21st Byron Bay Rugby Sevens will be held at the Byron Bay Recreation Ground, with games starting at 9am on Saturday.

Sixteen women’s teams will battle it out, with combined USA and New Zealand girls team KUSA tipped to beat three-time winners Eastsyde from Brisbane.

Other women’s teams fighting for a spot in the finals will be New Caledonia, Dunedin, Sydney and Brisbane.
Finals will start at 1pm on Sunday.

There will be a pre-tournament meet and greet at the Great Northern Hotel tomorrow from 6pm to 8pm.

Major sponsor for this year’s competition are Coopers Ale and the Railway Friendly Bar, Smirnoff and Southern Cross University.
