ROUTINE social media checks have yielded no clues as to the whereabouts of missing Toowoomba teen Emmadilla Peacock-Lewis.

The 15-year-old has not made a single Facebook post for more than a month, not since she was last seen leaving a French St, East Toowoomba, home about 4pm on September 28.

Her bank account has not been touched, nor has that of the man police believe she may be with, 42-year-old Justin Bradburn.

Reports have emerged Emmadilla met Mr Bradburn on Facebook.

Police have followed all local investigative leads, Child Protection and Investigation Unit officer-in-charge Detective Senior Sergeant Paul Hart said, and made several public appeals for information.

They have led to no new leads, but despite the slow progress, police are confident Emmadilla has not met with "foul play".

"The latest is we have nothing to indicate she may have met with foul play," Det Snr Sgt Hart said.

"But that doesn't mean we're not concerned for her."

Police believe Emmadilla has run off with Mr Bradburn and due to the length of time and the no contact, fear she may now be in trouble.

"What is unusual is that neither of these people have touched base with anyone for a long period of time," Det Snr Sgt Hart said.

"It could be that she feels she is in trouble which is why she hasn't made contact."

He said Emmadilla's family was growing more concerned each day.

Her mother was shocked and devastated at the discovery of 12-year-old Tiahleigh Palmer on by a Gold Coast river on Thursday.

"She was quite upset by the stuff that happened last week,"  Det Snr Sgt Hart said.

"It's very concerning, and no one wants to see a repeat of that."

Police investigations have confirmed Emmadilla and Mr Bradburn were seen at the Gold Coast before they were reported missing, solidifying their belief the pair may be together now.

But Det Snr Sgt Hart would not comment on whether they were in a relationship, nor how the two had met.

Toowoomba police are working closely with Tasmanian authorities, sharing information in the hope they will locate the pair.

"He is from Tasmania and he was reported missing from Tasmania," Det Snr Sgt Hart said.

"We're running out interstate inquiries.

"We've done a lot of stuff locally and we have pushed it really hard, but we've gotten nothing from regular checks on social media or bank accounts."

Ms Peacock-Lewis is described as being Caucasian, 165cm tall with a proportionate build, brown hair and blue eyes, and was wearing grey pants, a dark-coloured skivvy and grey shoes.

Mr Bradburn is described as being Caucasian, approximately 180 centimetres tall with brown hair, and a proportionate build.

It is unknown what clothes he was wearing when reported missing on October 31.

If anyone sees Emmadilla or Mr Bradburn, or has information as to their whereabouts, they are encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
