Fatal crash on Pacific Hwy at Ulmarra
THE Pacific Highway has been reopened under alternating (stop/slow) conditions following a fatal car and truck accident in Ulmarra earlier this morning.
The accident had blocked the highway in both directions since early this morning near Old Post Office Lane.
Traffic is now able to pass the incident using the northbound carriageway.
Diversions via Lismore have now been lifted.
A complex salvage operation is blocking the southbound carriageway.
Delays will be experienced. Motorists should exercise caution and allow additional travel time.

THE Pacific Highway is blocked in both directions in Ulmarra following a fatal accident involving a truck and car earlier this morning.
The crash continues to block the highway in both directions near Old Post Office Lane in Ulmarra.
Diversions are in place.
Motorists travelling between Ballina and Grafton (in either direction) can divert around the incident via Lismore using both the Bruxner Highway and the Summerland Way. This diversion is available for all vehicles.
The NSW Police Crash Investigation Unit is onsite investigating the cause of the incident and as a result, the highway is expected to remain closed for the next several hours.
Motorists should exercise caution and allow additional travel time.
