Man dies in head-on accident

A MAN in his early 20s has died after a head-on accident on Nimbin Road, Coffee Camp this morning.

A red station wagon and a white 4WD were involved in the accident.

It is believed the young man was driving the red station wagon.

The driver of the 4WD is believed to be uninjured but was taken to Lismore Base Hospital as a precaution.

The accident happened about 11.30am.

The road is blocked in both directions.

Road blocks have been established at Stoney Creek Road at Nimbin for south-bound traffic and at Jiggi Road, Gollmangar for north bound traffic.

Traffic is being diverted through Jiggi and Kyogle.
